After almost a decade since the character was first included in a film from the UCM, Marvel Studios is finally considering Black Widow film, and the actress Scarlett Johansson has her own ideas about how she spect to do it.
In an interview with Variety, Johansson explained that, although the film hasn’t yet been officially approved, she’s been waiting for it, and she’s already got a few ideas:
“I would like for it to happen under the right circumstances. I think there’s a lot of opportunity to mine that story line. She’s got a really rich origins story. There’s a lot of places you can go, you can bring it back to Russia. You could explore the Widow program. There’s all kinds of stuff that you could do with it. You could really uncover the identity of who this person is, where she comes from and where she’s part of.”
Although making a film of origin at this point seems difficult-with the UCM about to enter its fourth phase-, Johansson explains that it doesn’t necessarily have to be a prequel: “It could be something more, where do the Avengers go? they are hidden, what happen then? what happens after everything falls apart? there are many ways you can address it. ”
In addition, the actress also spoke about her permanence in the UCM, and if she’s still waiting for that film, in case that script of Jac Schaeffer will not work. “If I did, it would have to be while I still feel like wearing a tight suit.I don’t know how much longer that will be, ” she explained.
At the moment, we’re still waiting to see Johansson as Black Widow again, when Avengers: Infinity War release on May 4, 2018.
