Netflix’s ‘The Witcher’ Series is Officially in Production

By the middle of this year, Netflix took another step towards the fantasy world, by announcing the adaptation of the novels that inspired the videogame series The Witcher. Despite the news was still very fresh by then, the project is finally moving right now.

According to a press release presented in Platigue, the streaming company has begun the production of the proyect. The series will be written by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Daredevil), and she will also be the showrunner for it. The author of the fantasy novels that inspired the game, Andrzej Sapkowski, will also work along with Tomasz Baginski as director. Baginski has also created cinematics for the videogame ‘The Witcher’.Already have the cast chosen.

Inspired by the mythology of Eastern Europe, The Wicher tells the story of the Geralt of Rivia, a dark magician and hunter of monsters.
